Making and soldering
The making of the inductors is quite a thing. Take your time,....and follow the instructions of Norbert as exactly as possible. The only place where I deviated from the instructions is coils 307, 327, 328 and 308. I used two carrier PCB's instead of one. It was easier for me to make the coils straight and round. I am happy with the result. I had 5 proto's of that PCB so using 4 instead of 2 was not a problem. The one left can be used to make more PCB's is necessary.
It is difficult to make the coils perfectly round. Norbert made wooden bodies on a turning bench and made all the coils by letting it turn slowly in the bench and putting the 2mm wire on it. Myself, I looked in the house for round things. From cleaning sweepers to beer bottles. As long as they were round,.....Basically it works also, but is probably a bit more work.
Solder the coils on both sides with plenty of solder to make it more stable. On the following picture I am about half way the work. I started with the most easiest coil to get a little bit the hang of it with the bigger ones.
