Electronic scheme
I studied a lot of schemes on the internet in the December month of 2019, and it is going to be a mix of several proposals. I will give the schemes and discuss it using a split in several modules:
- Power amplifier module
- Quite trivial that you need this module
- I use two irf530 N-channel MOSFETs in a push-pull configuration
- Attenuator module
- Less trivial, but I chose for an attenuator, because it's good for the termination of the QCX kit
- And it is good for stability
- And I want to attenuate the output of the QCX at 13.8V to 1 Watt before going into the amplifier.
- End filter for 20m
- Quite trivial, you need at least one filter, and of course I picked the 20m filter, because I have a QCX kit for 20m to drive the amp
- Bias voltage module
- Not trivial, because I wanted to start with a class E amp for proto one.
- But I build the bias in, because I want to experiment with efficiency, and stability using a bit of a bias voltage.
- Lets see how it behaves
- RX-TX full QSK module
- Certainly not trivial for proto one, but I saw it in the QLabs design and I liked it very much. No switches in the design. And fast. And because I like the QSK feature of the QCX kit (using CW), I thought it would be a good idea to build it in and experiment with it, before going to use it in high power proto's.
