Testing Controller and CapacitorsPCB
Now we have a fully assembled controller board and a capacitors board with all C's on it, connected to each other and connected to the communication board, we can test some more functionality of the combination.
I already tested the:
- C2,4 and 5 and the related relays
- External relays
- Frequency input circuit
- EEPROM memory for a few locations in the memory
- The complete data input train into the shift registers of the driver IC's
- All CLK signals
- All Strobe signals on the driver IC's
All is proven OK.
I further want to test:
- Functionality of all other C's and relays
- Check of all other /OE signals
Well, the bad news is that I blew a micro controller. I dont know why, but I think I touched some wrong wires during testing previously. A few /OE's did not come out of the micro controller, so the relay drivers were not activated, and the relays stay quit,...
The good news is that I programmed a new controller, and installed it.
In the mean time I finished the inductor PCB and decided to put the whole thing together.
I powered up the complete setting, and started the PCB app.
Again good news. All relays were working, the C-relays, the Inductor relays and the special ones. Also the external ones were clicking. So all the /OE-signals were there.
