Measurements

To start measurements, I put power on my Ft-950, on the PA, on the 12V ps for the tuner comm box, and I started the tuner app on the PC.

Next I started the maasbree websdr.

Measurements:   Z= Z-antenna (at the start of the chicken ladder).

1.9 MHz   Z=127-j1103   Eff = 92.8%   SWR = 2,64   c=0        L=55,2 uH

3.6 MHz   Z=58,4-j90,3    Eff = 99,1%   SWR = 1,38   c=0        L=3,4 uH

7.1 MHz   Z=3147-j1240  Eff = 94,8%   SWR = 1,05  c=2,4pF L=8,77 uH

10.120      Z= 167-j246     Eff = 98,1%   SWR  = 1,3   c=7,2pF  L=2,04 uH

14.175      Z=574+j41,4    Eff = 96,8%   SWR = 1,08   c=40pF  L=1,24 uH

18,125      Z=162-j43,6     Eff = 97,8%   SWR = 1,09   c=82,8pF  L= 0,3uH

21,225      Z=200+j381     Eff = 96,2%   SWR = 1,52   c= 82,8pF  L=0,3uH

24,925      Z=209+j142     Eff = 97,5%   SWR = 1,15   c= 24,8pF  L=0,38uH

28,775      Z= 171+j240    Eff = 96,5%   SWR  = 1,5     c= 7,2pF    L=0,42uH

This is measured after optimizing the tuner for the frequency. The only significant impedance is the one for 40meter.

But this is understandable because the wire is a little shorter than 1 wavelength. The middle of the antenna has about the same impedance as both ends, high,....

But everything works very nice and I Iet it be for a while to see how it works in the long run.

I also measured the behavior of the antenna with a tuner inactive. Meaning that I chose the STRAIGHT option. The output of the tuner is then practically zero.

The antenna is not of course.

This is the SWR of the antenna without the tuner.

Smith chart without tuner.

Phase diagram without tuner.

The impedance (R, X, Z) of the antenna without tuner.

And last but not least, the SWR chart of the tuned antenna for 7070 kHz.
